Rob Powell, General Manager received a telephone call from a former Longwood Elementary teacher and said she was going to stop by the hotel with some small treats for the families. What started as a small gesture turned out to be total of 30 cars all carrying different items for the families. They even had a man playing the guitar and everyone was singing Christmas carols. They set up a large table for the kids to do arts and crafts and everyone had a wonderful time. They supplied the families with clothing, food, gifts and gift cards. Some of the people were even dressed like elves and their small children were walking around saying “Merry Christmas” and they were handing out candy canes. What a non-selfish way to teach your own kids the meaning of Christmas and giving!
